Old Japanese Baseball
Howdy all.

OK, first thing I should state is that I should no longer drink porters when I go to brewpubs. I just don't have the tolerance for that.

On top of the beer, tonight I went to Berkeley where they have been screening lots of Kurosawa/Mifune classics. We saw Stray Dog, shot in Japan in 1949. There werre some really nice baseball scenes, featuring the Tokyo Giants. It was a little weird sitting there and then realizing, "Hey, I've seen that team."

I need to see more Kurosawa (I've seen mainly the Samurai ripoffs of Shakespeare, but not too many of his dramas). And I miss baseball.

A place for TDA writers to relax, stretch out, and spitball about the grand game of baseball.
