TDA - Theda Marshall Interview

Thesa Marshall was a player in the old AAGPBL. She answered a few of our questions.

1) How did you get interested in playing baseball and where did you play before you turned pro?

I played in Denver.

2) Describe your signing.

I was asked if I wanted to try out for a baseball league.

3) What position(s) did you play? Which teams did you play for?

First base for the South Bend Blue Sox and the Chicago Colleens.

4) Should women have their own pro league, should they play in the majors, or should we have both (a women's league and the chance for the best women players to play in the majors?)

Yes, yes and yes.

5) What advice do you have for young women who want to become pro ballplayers?

Go for it!

6) Any other memories or comments?

I'm sorry I can't answer any more questions, I've been very ill.
